Summer Camp Director
Katherine Walton is a dedicated educator and leader with a strong passion for creating safe, engaging, and enriching environments for children. She currently serves as a special education teacher in the North Plainfield School District, where she works closely with students, families, and support staff to support diverse learning and behavioral needs.
As a North Plainfield resident and parent of a child in the district, she brings a strong sense of community pride and commitment to her role. Her work in education has strengthened her skills in communication, organization, and building positive, supportive relationships with children of all ages.
In addition to her professional role, Katherine served as PTA President for two years at West End School and continues to volunteer within the school community. She also volunteered as a basketball coach with North Plainfield Recreation and Saint Bartholomew Academy sports, supporting youth athletes in developing teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship. These experiences have allowed her to connect with children and families both inside and outside of the classroom while reinforcing the importance of positive mentorship.
As a Summer Camp Director, Katherine is committed to creating a fun, structured, and nurturing environment where every child feels included, supported, and excited to participate. Her goal is to provide a camp experience that encourages social growth, leadership, teamwork, and lasting memories for all campers.
